In case you hadn’t heard, David Mueller just got himself another radio job. Or rather Stonewall Jackson did — that’s the fake name he’s going by on the Jackson & Jonbob show on Kix 92.7 WMYQ in Mississippi. He started Monday morning.
When asked about the controversial decision to hire Mueller, Delta Radio president and CEO Larry Fuss told the NY Daily News:
“I sat down with him face-to-face in Minneapolis before I offered him the job and talked to him about it. He’s either the world’s best liar, or he’s telling the truth. I tend to believe his version of the story and most people who have talked to him face-to-face do believe his version of the story.”
Not most people in a court of law apparently!
Taylor’s fans were understandably outraged and have been posting on the station’s site and sending Fuss emails, something he is NOT happy about. Shockingly, the man who chose “Making Local Radio Great Again” as his business’s motto, was dismissive and demeaning:
“Most of them need to get a life. Most of the response I have seen this morning— there’s been quite a few on our Facebook page, and none of it is radio people, none of it is local people in Mississippi. It’s all originating from some Taylor Swift fan group somewhere. They’re telling people to go to this station’s webpage and post negative comments. It’s just people who don’t have a clue, or don’t really have any knowledge of the facts.”
Actually, these fans follow Taylor closely and are probably more up-to-date on the court case than someone who just asked the DJ “Did you do it” and took his word as gospel.
See what some Swifties have to say to Fuss (below):

Take some minutes of your time to email him as well. It wont take long, but it’s something important. Thanks pic.twitter.com/af1Zq7iSof

i guess one way to handle an influx of complaints is to just not answer the phone. how classy. extremly dissapointed in delta radio and their choice to hire a known abuser while claiming the incident never occurred. you can change your name mr. mueller but not your past!

They blocked our reviews on Facebook, but they can’t hide the fact that they hired a sexual predator …… they are aiding & enabling a SEXUAL PREDATOR.
Oh, and a fan on Tumblr actually found the station’s advertisers HERE!
