A shooting was reported at the Los Angeles area mall Glendale Galleria but thankfully no one is hurt.
The City of Glendale is reporting that one shot was fired during a robbery and that the police have the situation under control. Tweets from people in the area warned others to stay away from the Galleria. Stores at the mall were placed on lockdown during the incident.
“A report of a robbery at the Glendale Galleria. Report of a shot fired. No one hurt. Glendale Police have the situation under control no threat to the public,” the official Glendale account tweeted.
Another tweet added, “GPD reporting all is good at the Glendale Malls. Heavy police activity investigating an attempt robbery. Please avoid area until complete.”
UPDATE: Reports suggest that the gun shot was from a security officer in response to a robbery attempt.
