We would swipe right in a heartbeat!
As pictured (above), Lauren is a 20-year-old from San Diego who lost her arm in a moped accident last year.
She told BuzzFeed News:
“I was going pretty fast on a moped and lost control of it, and I hit the median in the road… I flew off and hit a sign and it sliced my arm off. I stayed conscious the whole time.”
Fortunately, a police officer arrived on the scene and was able to bandage up her wounds.
“I remember I asked the cop, ‘Hey, am I gonna die?’ and he said, ‘No, you’ll be fine.”‘
In the past year, Lauren has made fun of her injury on social media, which has “helped” in the healing process.
“For a while, I wasn’t okay with the jokes… But then I started telling the jokes, and it’s kind of helped.”
As seen on her Twitter:
i don’t use the clapping emoji cos i can’t clap and im being completely honest

And she isn’t afraid to post pics displaying her visible wound!
“I have never really hid it… People don’t see that very often, so a lot of people DM me to tell me it’s really helpful to them, people who are also missing limbs or are disabled.”
Last week, the California-resident created a Tinder profile where she made a point “to address the elephant in the room that I was missing a limb.”
As you can see (above), she showed off her comedic chops by peppering in some jokes!
“I got home pretty drunk, and I don’t remember typing it up really.”
Soon, her profile pic circulated around Reddit and Twitter, and she instantly became an Internet sensation!
“I just woke up to someone DM’ing me a Reddit post asking if it was me, and I was like damn, I guess it is.”
Not surprisingly, the World Wide Web showered Lauren with love, and we’re pretty sure she got some dates out of her new viral fame!
While some may feel uncomfortable laughing at her profile, Lauren doesn’t mind one bit!
“People always respond like, ‘Oh, I feel bad for laughing,’ and I’m like, ‘No! I think it’s funny… I made it!'”
Line up, fellas!
