Back in 2015, the athlete was hospitalized after suffering an overdose at a Nevada brothel. Kim Kardashian‘s husband says he visited Odom in the hospital and played him tracks from his album The Life Of Pablo.
On Monday, the athlete responded to Yeezy’s tweet where he expressed gratitude for their friendship.
The Los Angeles Lakers alum wrote:

According to Kim in an episode of KUWTK, music played a pivotal role in the baller’s recovery:
“Kanye really felt we can cure him through music, like we can get him to talk. He would go to the hospital and he would rap and sing, and I think Lamar started to get his function back and started to talk once he started to listen to a lot of music.”
